Group Condoles Delta Sector Commander Over Wife's Death ~ Truth Reporters

The League of Professionals for Strategic Advocacy (LPSA) has paid a condolence visit on the Delta State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. Wihioka Uchechukwu Peter over the death of his dear wife.


The group visited the FRSC headquarters in Asaba on 15th January, 2021, where they pledged to partake in the burial ceremony as a mark of respect for the Sector Commander who since assuming office in Delta, had made some mileages in the reduction of accidents and casualties, human relationship and administrative speed in attending to vehicles operational matters.


Leading the group on the condolence visit was the Convener, Prince Obaro Unuafe who prayed to God to grant the Sector Commander the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.


He equally sympathized with him over the burning down of the Road Safety complex at Koka area of Asaba by the alleged miscreants who hijacked the #EndSARS protest to cause mayhem in the capital city.


Unuafe appealed to the Sector Commander to as a mark of respect, allow members of the group attend the wife's burial at Eleme in Rivers State on the 23rd January, 2021.


Meanwhile, the Chairman of the group, Mr. Pius Mordi condoled with the Sector Commander while also appreciating him for granting them access at short notice.


He equally took time to give the Sector Commander the profile of the group as a media based strategic league of professionals ready to avail institutions opportunity to partner with it for mutually beneficial relationships in terms of strategic publicity, promotion of achievements and helping to espouse ideas for value growth and development.


Responding, the Sector Commander, Mr. Wihioka Uchechukwu Peter thanked the group for the visit, condolence messages and prayers of support.


He prayed that no member of the group's family members would die untimely.


The Sector Commander reflected on the memory of his late wife who is from Delta State, and said he had left his consolation in God who is the giver of life.


Wihioka assured that the burial which is slated for January 23 at Eleme in Rivers State is open to all his friends and partners in progress to join him in paying his last respect to his dearly beloved wife.


Therefore, he affirmed that hence the body had come first to condole with him, introduce themselves to him and then share ideas and knowledge with him in respect to work formations, he had decided to open the Special Marshal enlistment of FRSC to the group.


According to him, "We cannot do without the media or take such a highly reputed group for granted. We are ready to work and partner with you to positively project FRSC in Delta State. And to do that we need people who have a first hand knowledge of the operations of FRSC, at least to help educate other Nigerians about their ignorance mostly as it pertains to accidents", he concluded.


Some members of the group who were present included, the Board Chairman of DBS Asaba, Comrade Felix Ofou, the SSA to the Governor on Media, Comrade Norbert Chiazor, a veteran broadcaster, Mr. Fred Akpewe, an On Air Personality, Comrade Onome Tanno, the Founder/CEO of La Vida Foundation, Ms. Vida Modelo, an Academic Custodian, Ms. Patience Asifor, a literary icon, Prince Romeo Awah and of course the Media Consultant to the group, Comrade Patrick Ochei.
