Delta Stagemasters to organise football tourney ~ Truth Reporters
Delta Stagemasters, an umbrella organization comprising practitioners in all the sectors of the Creative Industry; Musicians, Comedians, Actors, Djs, MCs and Dancers is set to host a football and entertainment concert.
President-General of the Delta Stagemasters, Mr Samuel Fejokwu disclosed this in a statement to newsmen on Friday in Asaba.
He said the last 4years of its existence, Delta Stagemasters has been able to unite all Industry players in the state and today, its membership strength stands at over 5000!
"In our quest to round off the year 2020 on a joyous and exciting note, having experienced a global pandemic, COVID-19 and a nationwide #EndSARS protest, both of which claimed lives, Delta Stagemasters came up with a spectacular event.

"It is the second in its series, having held a debut during Delta @27 in 2018 in collaboration with the Directorate of Culture and Tourism.
"This year's edition is taking place on Tuesday 8th December, 2020 (preliminaries) and Thursday 10th December, 2020(Finals) at the Football pitch of the prestigious Govt House Squash Club, Asaba.
Fejokwu who is also Senior Special Assistant to Governor Okowa on Protocol said the tournament is combining the force of the Entertainment Industry and lovers of football to attract the teeming youths of Delta especially and propagate the ideals of a unified Delta State and helping to actualize the SMART DELTA agenda and STRONGER DELTA vision of the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa led administration.
"The tournament will have four teams participating: TEAM Musicians, TEAM Comedians, TEAM Nollywood and TEAM DJs.
"Prizes worth 2million naira are up for grabs, with the winning team smiling away with N1000,000; 2nd prize N500,000; 3rd prize N300,000; highest goal scorer N50,000 and Most Valuable Player N50,000.
"The football tournament will be officiated by officials of the Delta State Sports Commission. Trophy presentation is expected to be performed by His Excellency Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State.
"The spectacular event will also feature a live concert featuring top musicians, comedians and dancers.
"The event is open to well meaning Deltans, Brands and Corporate Organizations who wish to align with the lofty goals of the event and this could be achieved in different categories that will attract specific benefits to them their organizations," Fejokwu stated.
