Foundation marks 2nd anniversary with donations to Delta school ~ Truth Reporters

The Olotu & Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation in celebrating second year anniversary and 25th year Memorial of Late. Chief. Dr. Ekuogbe R. Akpodiete has scaled up its ongoing support to COVID-19 by donating personal protective materials and supplies of note books to a secondary school in Delta State.

Representatives of the foundation delivered the materials and supplies on Friday, 14 August 2020 to the management & staff of Government College Ughelli, Delta State.

The donation is to support COVID-19 prevention measures as secondary schools resume for their students examination. It includes disposable facemasks, face shields, hand sanitizers, hand wash liquids, plastic materials for washing hands, Note Books among others.

The donation is expected to ensure that management, staff and students have access to personal protective materials in line with COVID -19 measures as secondary schools prepare for exams for their students.

Executive Director of the Foundation, Dr. Olotu Akpodiete said that the donation of personal protective materials to secondary schools is in support of the commendable strides of the state Government in the management of the pandemic and celebrating second year anniversary of the foundation and 25th year Memorial of Late. Chief. Ekuogbe R. Akpodiete.

Receiving the supplies, the Principal, Mr. Edward Asibeluo expressed appreciation for the timely donation of personal protective materials in line with COVID -19 measures. He noted that “this will help raise awareness, improve sensitization and support services as well as curb the spread of corona virus in our communities and among workers and students as schools resumes”

Director of Operations, Deacon Ogaga Ohwojero wishes the senior secondary school students success in their exams and appeal to them to take COVID 19 measures seriously as they have received personal protective materials from the Foundation.
