COVID-19: Delta total infections rise to 1596, discharges 1416 ~ Truth Reporters

Delta State has recorded 21 new cases of the Coronavirus bringing the total infections in the state to 1596 just as the state's active cases rose from 123 to 137 on Saturday.

According to figures from the State Ministry of Health, 1,416 patients have been succesfully treated and discharged while 43 fatalities have so far been recorded on account of the pandemic.

Kaduna state leapfrogged Delta on Saturday to rank 7th leaving Delta on 8th position among the most impacted states in Nigeria ranking behind Lagos, FCT, Oyo, Edo, Rivers, Kano and Kaduna states. The state has so far carried out tests on 7,330 persons and has so far achieved 99 percent contact tracing success rate.
