COVID-19: Delta records 7 new cases, total now 1708 ~ Truth Reporters

Delta State has recorded 7 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total infections in the state to 1708 while active cases now 143 on Monday.

According to figures from the State Ministry of Health, 22 patients were discharged within the period, bringing the total number of patients succesfully treated and discharged to 1519 while 46 fatalities have so far been recorded on account of the pandemic.

Delta remains 9th among the most impacted states in Nigeria ranking behind Lagos, FCT, Oyo, Edo, Plateau, Rivers, Kaduna and Kano states. The state has so far carried out tests on 8,094 persons and has so far achieved 99 percent contact tracing success rate.
