Okowa committed to building stronger Delta youths - Ezechi ~ Truth Reporters

The Immediate Past Commissioner Representing Ndokwa Nationality on the board DESOPADEC, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi has reiterated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa's commitment to development of Delta youths.

Ezechi who is currently the Executive Assistant on Youth Development to the Governor, made the assertion at the weekend while addressing some youths from Ndokwa Nation said the Okowa's led administration has not only been friendly to youths but has also positioned youths in various leadership / political positions in his administration, hence its important for Youths in the State to reciprocate this good gesture by standing tall behind the Okowa's led administration.

He continued, "It is said that when you build the youths, you build the Nation, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is a man who is committed in building the future of our dear state and nation at large, that is why he has not only empowered so many youths to be self reliant through the YAGEP and STEP Programmes but has also engaged the youths in learning leadership by appointing so many youths into various political positions"

He maintained that the entrepreneurial programs which the Governor initiated through his S.M.A.R.T agenda since the inception of his first term administration has no doubt made so many youths in Delta to be self reliant, adding that "most of our youths are now employers of labour across the state which in effect has taken so many youths off the street and has boosted the Peaceful Atmosphere we are now enjoying within the state, because in the anbsence of peace, there is no progress and development.

Ezechi who also emphatically noted that with the current appointments of Governor Okowa so far, it is evident that the Governor has majorly the youths at heart.

He reiterated his gratitude to the Governor for finding him worthy to serve in the capacity of Executive Assistant on Youth Development in his administration and pledged to use his office to do the best he can to re-orient the youths on the importance to shun any activities that will truncate the peace and unity we are enjoying in the State.

He charged the youths to key in into any of the entrepreneurial programs to secure a meaningful future for themselves.
