Maintain existing peace for devt., Aniagwu urges communities ~ Truth Reporters

The Commissioner for Information Charles Aniagwu has urged communities in the State to continue to maintain the existing peace which is a panacea for even development.
The Commissioner made the statement yesterday at Tsekelewu in Warri North Local Government Area where he commended the members of the Community for their peaceful disposition in the face of hardship they encountered as a result of the flood that overwhelmed the Community.
The Commissioner recalled that due to their support for the Government of Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and peaceful co–existence the Governor came and delivered some developmental projects to them and stated that they should continue to be peaceful because the governor will ensure that more people oriented projects will be delivered to the Community in due course.
The Commissioner assured the people that in order to ensure that no epidemic broke out as a result of the flooding; government will ensure that the Health Facility in the Community will be given the necessary support to handle any challenge that may arise.
The commissioner who was on assessment tour of facilities in the community in company of others including co–chairman of Flood Risk Management Committee and Commissioner Bureau for Special Duties, Mofe Pirah; Commissioner for Environment, Christian Onogba and the Director General Orientation Bureau, Barr Eugene Uzum urged the people to be patient while the government continue to put necessary measures in place to ensure their welfare.
The Committee members letter went to Koko, the Local Government Headquarters were the co–chairman of the committee on behalf of the state government handed relief materials to be distributed to the victims of the recent flooding that overwhelmed some communities in the local government area.
Items delivered included Bags of Rice, Cartons of Indomie, Yams, Gallons of Palm Oil, among others.
