Delta Speaker, Sheriff Oborevwori gives out daughter in marriage ~ Truth Reporters


The rich culture of the Urhobo people of Delta State was demonstrated during the traditional marriage between Miss Omonigho Oborevwori, the daughter of the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and lovely husband Ugochukwu Mearonye, which took place in Osubi on Thursday amidst pomp and splendour.



Truth Reporters reports that the traditional marriage ceremony which showcased the glamour of the Urhobo traditional marriage attracted a large turnout of guests and several dignitaries from within and outside the state.




Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his wife Dame Edith Okowa led a high powered delegation of government functionaries to the ceremony which was attended by, former Delta State Governor Chief James Ibori, former Deputy Governor, Prof. Amos Utuama, SAN, Senator James Manager, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, State PDP Chairman Olorogun Kingsley Esiso, Hon. Efe Afe, Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi, Hon. Evelyn Oboro, Chief of Staff Government House Olorogun David Edevbie, Chief Ighoyota Amori, Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly Rt. Hon Ochor Ochor, Majority Leader Hon Tim Owhefere, Hon. Reuben Izeze, Hon. Charles Emetulu, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, Hon. Kenneth Ogba, Hon. Ferguson Onwo, Hon. Solomon Igbrakpata.



Also in attendance were Chief Ovuozourie Macaulay, Chief Solomon Ogba, Hon. Eta Enahoro, Engr. Daniel Omoyibo, Special Advisers designate, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Okoro, Hon. Efe Ofobruku, Hon. Friday Osanebi, Delta South PDP Chairman Chief Emman Amgbaduba and other party officials.



Other dignitaries include Council Chairmen led by ALGON Chairman, Hon Itiako Ikpokpo, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor, Hon. Dr. Michael Tidi, Hon. Taye Tuoyo, Hon.
